Cricket NSW and Gotcha4Life Partnership Announced
Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder, and Cricket NSW are proud to announce their partnership with Gotcha4Life, an organisation that’s encouraging Aussies to help combat mental health issues by simply being there for their mates.
Gotcha4Life exists to create meaningful mateship and build mental fitness in the community through social connection, emotional muscle, and resilience.
The preventative nature of Gotcha4Life’s work will be delivered across all levels of cricket in NSW, with a focus on raising awareness and delivering positive mental health workshops in the cricket community.
Founder and renowned cricket fan, Gus Worland, said he was determined to help make a meaningful difference to the sport that he loves.

“Cricket NSW exists to inspire people to love and play our great game,” said Germon. “We all know cricket inspires the togetherness of community because it has a long and proud tradition of bringing people from all walks of life together.
“We are very excited to partner with Gotcha4Life because it allows us to promote the importance of mental fitness throughout our cricket community.
“Mental fitness is important; it’s important to value it. We need to talk more openly about the issues people are battling in what I suppose you can call a tortured silence because they don’t feel confident enough to ask even their closest mates for help.”
“Through our association with Gotcha4Life, the cricket community – and myself, for that matter - can learn how to eliminate that barrier by being Gotcha4Life mates.”
